Lerner Enterprises is Proud to Announce the Development of Hadley's Playground at Dulles Town Center
Some children dream they can fly, while others dream about playing at the playground

DULLES, Va., Sept. 18, 2000 -- Hadley's Park, Inc. together with the generous support of Lerner Enterprises is proud to announce the development of Hadley's Playground at the Dulles Town Center.  When completed the playground will be 4,000 square feet and revolve around a "Main Street, USA theme."  The site was made available to Hadley's Park, Inc. for design and construction of the playground from Lerner Enterprises 554-acre Dulles Town Center project.  We are anticipating an early November ribbon cutting.

Hadley's Park, Inc. designs it's playgrounds to provide accessibility to disabled children and their able-bodied friends and siblings.  The playgrounds are designed around theme play areas, including transportation areas, roadways, pirate ships, frontier villages, castle bridges, main street USA, and upper body areas.  ( For strengthening for those with motor impairments and not. )

Hadley's Park, Inc. is a local grassroots non-profit organization created in 1996 by Ms. Kramm to design, develop, fund and build the first fully 3/4 of an acre accessible playground in the state of Maryland with the total budget of $850,000.00 This was raised through private, corporate, and public funds.  Hadley's Park, Inc. donated this project to Maryland National Capital park and Planning Commission.  Families have traveled from as far as New Jersey and West Virginia to enjoy this unique playground.  Hadley's Park, Inc. is now in the process of developing 31 more projects of this type in the Metropolitan Washington, D. C. area, as well as helping others across the Nation.

In addition to Hadley's Playground, the 554-acre Dulles Town Center project includes:

  • Dulles Courtyard by Marriott, 156-room hotel scheduled to open in January 2001.

  • 1,100 residences including Colonnade townhomes and Remington luxury apartment homes.
  • The Corporate Office Park, phase one currently under construction, which offers 4.5 million square feet of Class "A" office space.
